It is only for the third time this season that Wolves has failed to win at home, as they played out a fruitless draw against Sheffield United in the Boxing Day match. The draw also halted the winning momentum of Wolves who are currently leading the championship.

The Wolves after a long time appeared to be off colour which prompted striker Karl Henry to confess that they didn’t play to their potential. ‘We played poorly in every department of the game, but it is only a matter of time before we start playing to our potential and start winning’, he stressed. So the team definitely needs to pick up their Wesco Kickmaster Pro Training kits and get back to the fundamentals. He expressed the hope that the team would be at its fearsome best when it takes on Blackpool in their next outing.

The player also highlighted the plight of Blackpool who is all at sea at the moment with their manager Simon Grayson making an abrupt exit. He said that it would be a grave mistake to underestimate Blackpool despite the current scheme of things as there are many an instances of teams coming out stronger from such situations to post stunning results. ‘The emphasis should be on how we play on that special day than anything else’, he added.

Meanwhile, Wolves manager Mick McCarthy is indifferent with the latest result saying that it was a one off performance and should have no effect on the team’s up coming performances. He stressed that he will try to gauze the positives rather than try to be affected by the result. The results that he team has posted throughout the season is there for everybody to see, he said.
