There are many people around the world for whom Football is not just a game. It has influenced people in the most unimaginable ways. Over the years this feeling has been reinforced time and again.

If proving himself for Togo and then donning the Nike Arsenal Home Shirt 2009 in the most prestigious football league in the world was not a miracle in itself, Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed a hitherto unknown fact about his early childhood.

Emmanuel Adebayor shockingly revealed, in his own words, “I did not walk for the first four years of my life.” Can you believe that? How painful it would have been for his family to see him struggling for something not in one’s control so early in life? But the events as they happened and the way football changed it all, can give anyone goose bumps.

God has His own ways and here He worked through football. The Premier League player explains how after his mom had lost all hope and was crying in the church and hoping against hope, a game of football being played outside changed it all.

The ball happened to be thrown inside the church and Emmanuel got up and ran to get the ball. People around there believed that this kid must have football in his blood, prophesy and so accurate, indeed.

Football gave hope and a great life to Emmanuel and also gave him unwavering faith in God and humbleness. To be so rich and famous now and still understand the meaning of that day speaks volumes of significance of football and character of Adebayor.

An amazing, unbelievable and motivational story, won’t you agree?
