With the view to consolidate the building process of Coventry City FC it has been confirmed by the Coventry City Chairman Ray Ranson that the club has begin the process of opening talks with the members of the first team and others regarding extension of the contracts. In view of the same Leon McKenzie who is presently injured has been offered the extension for a new contract.

Chris Coleman the boss of Sky Blues is of the opinion that they should look after McKenzie who is presently out because of ruptured Achilles that will take a long time. He wants to balance out his young talented squad by holding on to experienced players like Leon McKenzie the ex-Norwick striker and Marcus Hall.

Chris Coleman further added that he they will go all out to make him fit as soon as possible. They are going to sit down with him to negotiate and finalise the new contract pertaining to the next season of which McKenzie is also aware of. We expect McKenzie to put recovery efforts into overtime, and likely spend a lot of time on treadmills like the Horizon Paragon 408, in an effort to get fit for next season. Similarly Chris city’s manager who was very enthusiastic about Marcus Hall said that he had come for Foxy performed magnificently. According to Chris Coleman a very experienced and calm player Marcus has set a good example for the other players in the team. Praising him Coleman said that he had played in top flight and performed very well. He has been in Coventry City for a very long time and is a competent squad player and the contribution of Marcus in more than enough for the club to sit and negotiate for one more year.

Coleman remarked that with many young players in the squad, there are ego clashes and sometimes they get over enthusiastic as a result they become boisterous as a result balancing the squad with one or two players who are experienced and can calm them down.. Chris Coleman further added that they should not forget that Marcus Hall is also an excellent ambassador of the club.
