Ricoh Arena thrown open to the International Community

The First development manager for international business has been appointed by Ricoh Arena in Coventry City. Gill Sage who has joined them is a well known figure has behind her tremendous experience in the conference and exhibition industry at the international level stretching across the world. Her aim will be to attract and increase global business houses and international associations for various events to be held at the venue valued at 113 million pounds.

With the present arrangement between Coventry City FC and Ricoh Arena, it has been agreed that Gill Sage will be responsible for selling the Sky Blues at the international level. She will also be closely working with SISU for development avenues or opportunities for the Coventry City club.

Gill was of the opinion that this venue could be used for multiple purposes and there were many opportunities which could be tapped. She said many companies could be encouraged to hold various conferences and exhibitions at this grand venue.

Praising the venue the 43 year old Gill said that the venue has a unique advantage that is not easily available in UK. She said they can offer besides having high quality exhibition, banquet and conference facilities all under the same roof, it offers a superb stadium, a health club where visitors can work out on an elliptical cross trainer or treadmill, and a fantastic hotel. With the Euro gaining strength against pound Ricoh Arena will become an attractive option for international business houses and associations in terms of cost in the present economic scenario besides having easy accessibility. She has plans to develop relations with Coventry City Council’s team of inward investment, CV One, “Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce” and “Advantage West Midlands”. She will also focus on overseas companies for business or leisure trips.
