Manchester United is heading for the Title with only a few Matches to go
Though the expectations for the betterment can never end but Alex Ferguson the manager of Manchester United is a relaxed man. The win of United over Portsmouth with a score of 2-0 on Wednesday did not have the dazzle and the polish for which the fans of United had come and though they were not electrified with the performance but went satisfied. It appeared from the mental set-up of the team that they are really grinding themselves for the Premier League title instead of galloping as was the case before.
The same frame of mind could be seen for Sir Alex Ferguson who remarked that they got a little warning after the game was over and added that hopefully they would learn from the same. Counting the balance matches left he said that one more game was over and they are in a better position after the game with a clear lead of three points from Liverpool. This was also due to the fact that Liverpool finished with a 4-4 draw match on Tuesday with Arsenal London. This has really damaged their position. If they are not able to end their wait of almost 20 years in this season for the English Title the responsibility will be on the draws with Wigan Athletic, Stoke City, Fulham and Hull. This aspect must be on the top of the mind of Rafa Benitez.
Now United have a match with Tottenham but it will be after Liverpool’s match. United were down at one stage when in March they went into a slump after losing their matches to Fulham and Liverpool but it appears that they have emerged from that stage.
