Arsenal aiming to break Record of going without a Trophy in the past Three Seasons
With the time now closing in for the Arsenal match with Manchester United on Tuesday both the teams are gearing themselves up for the big game. Arsenal meanwhile will be desperately looking for goals and at the same time develop a fool proof guard against the counter attacks of Manchester United if they have to knock them out on Tuesday of Champions league.
The winners from the two teams will play Barcelona or Chelsea in the final match on May 27 in Rome. The defender of United’s Rio Ferdinand had bruised his ribs in Old Trafford on Wednesday and the player in his Nike Total 90 Laser II football boots will be a big booster for United if he returns. Further Ferdinand who had missed at Middlesbrough the 2-0 wins on Saturday could possibly return to tighten further the claim of European Cup retention.
As far as Arsenal is concerned are required to score twice the number of goals if they have to win. Arsene Wenger the manager of Arsenal hopes that Robin van the striker who was suffering from the strain of the Groin would make a return after a gap of four games. The manager was confident and said that Arsenal has the potential of defeating United by a clear score of two goals as he felt that Arsenal was just 90 minutes from finals.
He further added that if they get ahead with a goal it will bring United under pressure because of the fact that if one more goal will knock United out of the race. For Arsenal the Trophy of the Champions League is the only one left if they have to break the record of past three seasons going without winning a trophy.
