The club also saw off a sell out on the 7th March in the match against Premier League club Chelsea at the quarter final of FA Cup. Showing interest in the Rovers Striker is certainly not a bad move, but Coventry must be aware that they are not the only ones in the fray.

Darren Ferguson of Peterborough United reportedly launched a bid worth ₤1.5 million for Ricky Lambert which the Rovers have comprehensively denied. Looks like it is upto Lambert to decide the club that he wants top venture into provided the Bristol Rovers release him of his contractual obligations.
