The Merrell company was established in the year 1981 by Clark Matis, Randy Merrell, and John Schweitzer. The company began by manufacturing hiking boots and had been world famous ever since its establishment. Merrell is famous for designing outdoor footwear and has created various shoes for outdoor activities. The recently introduced Merrell’s Intercept is a multi-sports shoe designed with strong elements and combined with Vibram Axis sole, which makes the Merrell Intercept stylish and rugged.

The Merrell Intercept is constructed in a slip-lasted design. The Intercept is also equipped with padded heels and breathable tongue that provide the user with protection and comfort while it relieves lace pressure. The Merell Intercept shoe has webbing eyelets that help the user to adjust the fit. Injection-molded thermoplastic urethane external heel counters of the Merrell Interception wraps around the heels and provide enhanced stability. The breathable polyester mesh lining of the shoe reduces sweat and help them to dry quickly. The Aegis antimicrobial treatment used in the shoe keeps the feet odour away. Removable anatomic footbeds of the shoe adds extra cushioning to in-board compression-molded EVA midsoles with air cushion heel pockets. Tapered nylon midsole and injection-molded nylon arch shanks of the shoe helps in controlling and enhances support. It also helps in protecting the user from rough terrains and provides with durability to venture any type terrain. The Merrell shoes are available in colours of charcoal, chocolate, grey, mocha, moth brown, gore-tex coffee and gore-tex espresso.
