Charlton comes back to life, struggles past Crystal Palace

Charlton manager Phil Parkinson was shrouded in a wave of congratulatory hugs as his side finally managed to break the shackles and end the worst league run in the club’s history. The fans that came to watch the match also went back satisfied; especially since the team’s performance had taken such a plunge that they in all likelihood may have forgotten the last time the team won. QPR’s insipid performance can be attributed to poor recruits, says Coventry manager

Coventry manager, Chris Coleman, has come out strongly against the wealthy owner’s of Queens Park Rangers, saying that the approach adopted by them is really shocking, and one which he derided as half-hearted at best. The coach looked particularly amused that his 10 men team not only managed to keep the opposition at bay, but also was the one who dominated the proceedings against a visibly passive opponent. Chris Coleman was not off mark when he says so, especially when one considers the performance of Heidar Helguson, the Rangers’ new recruitment, who spilled no less than five genuine chances. Burnley suffers double agony at the hands of Doncaster
